Job Summary
Provide direct pediatric home health aide support in a school setting under the Nursing Supervisor's care plan. Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, feeding, and positioning; help with certain treatments and medications as ordered; document daily care on the Aide Charting Sheet; use medical supplies and equipment as appropriate; offer emotional support and help foster client independence; maintain a healthy, safe environment and collaborate with the client’s family and agency personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements
- Evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers
- Good health and reliable, trustworthy behavior
