Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse. Utilize safety measures during care delivery, maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions, and follow written assignments developed by healthcare professionals. Document and submit accurate accounts of services provided, observe patients for changes in condition or behavior, and report findings to the supervisor. Adhere to state regulations defining the role of a Home Health Aide in the home setting. Ensure all activities align with the established plan of care, avoiding prohibited tasks such as administering medication or performing invasive procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
