Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse. Utilize safety measures during care delivery and maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions. Follow written assignments to deliver patient services, document and submit accurate accounts of services provided, and observe patients for changes in condition or behavior to report to the supervisor. Adhere to state regulations defining the role of the Home Health Aide in the home setting, ensuring all activities align with the plan of care. Submit required documentation in a timely manner while avoiding prohibited tasks such as administering medication or changing sterile dressings.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
