Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse. Utilize safety measures during care delivery and maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions. Follow written assignments to deliver patient services and document accurate accounts of services provided. Observe patients for changes in condition and behavior, reporting findings to the supervisor. Submit required documentation in a timely manner while adhering to state-regulated role definitions. Avoid prohibited tasks such as administering medication or changing sterile dressings. This role serves individuals coping with medical conditions and age-related challenges across Cary, Raleigh, and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
