Job Summary
As a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) - Hospice, you will assist patients with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Responsibilities include administering medication and monitoring vital signs, providing light housekeeping duties, companionship, and emotional support to patients and their families. You are required to observe and report changes in patients' health status. The role demands at least 1+ years of hospice experience and certification as a Home Health Aide in California, alongside completion of state-approved training.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years Hospice Experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
- Current certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of CA
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with hospice patients preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families
