Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and assistance with ambulation for a veteran in Franklinville, NJ, ensuring safety during transfers and mobility support. Monitor blood pressure changes to manage fall risks and offer light boosts when the client rises from a bed or couch. Operate safely around a cane and walker while remaining attentive to the presence of one cat and two dogs. Services occur only within the veteran's home with the client present throughout. This part-time role offers flexible evening and weekend shifts with same-day pay options. Home To Stay provides ongoing training, including dementia care and Direct Support Professional certification, alongside comprehensive medical and dental benefits for eligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey CHHA certification
- Reliable transportation to and from the client's home
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers
- Able to recognize and respond appropriately to fall-risk situations
- Compassionate, dependable, attentive, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable working around household pets
- Must be able to provide services while the veteran is present in the home
