Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, dressing assistance, and toileting activities. Maintain patient safety by assisting with ambulation, performing range of motion exercises, and monitoring vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, manage laundry, and ensure the living area remains clean and orderly. Report significant changes in patient condition to the assigned nurse and adhere to all documentation and care procedures. Maintain current HHA licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Work as a per diem caregiver on the road, delivering compassionate support to clients with diverse medical and daily living needs in Southern California.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
