Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting, and skin care while assisting with dressing, feeding, and laundry. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered, and assist with ambulation, exercise, and range of motion procedures. Prepare nutritious meals, administer medications as directed, and maintain a clean, orderly living area. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to all documentation and safety standards. Requires a valid HHA license, current CPR certification, and a licensed insured vehicle. Work on the road across Southern California counties.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
