Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing, and skin care. Assist patients with nutritious meal planning, feeding, and medication self-administration. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered. Support ambulation, exercise, and range of motion activities per the plan of care. Maintain patient living areas and perform laundry as appropriate. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to documentation standards. Maintain a valid HHA license, CPR certification, and a licensed, insured vehicle. Work on the road across Southern California counties on a per diem basis.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
