Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, skin care, and toileting activities. Assist patients with dressing, ambulation, exercise, and medication self-administration. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered. Maintain patient living areas and perform laundry. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse. Adhere to documentation and care procedures. Maintain a valid HHA license, current CPR certification, and a licensed insured vehicle. Work per diem across multiple Southern California counties.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
