Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, dressing assistance, and toileting. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, and perform laundry. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered. Assist with ambulation, exercise, and range of motion activities. Administer medications as directed and report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse. Maintain a clean living area and ensure patient safety using equipment properly. Adhere to documentation standards and care procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring assistance in Southern California counties. Candidates must hold a valid HHA license, current CPR certification, and a licensed driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
