Job Summary
Visiting Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide in-home care across California counties, delivering personal care and in-home health services. Responsibilities include baths, oral hygiene, dressing assistance, skin care, meal planning and preparation, assisting with feeding, taking and recording temperatures and vital signs, helping with ambulation and range-of-motion exercises, assisting in medication self-administration, doing patient laundry, ensuring safety with equipment, and reporting changes to the assigned nurse. Adheres to organization care procedures and documentation standards. Requires CPR certification, a valid HHA license, and a licensed driver with insured vehicle. Per diem role; work involves driving to patients’ homes and providing compassionate, individualized care.
Required Qualifications
- Meets training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
