Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting assistance, and skin care to prevent breakdown. Assist patients with dressing, feeding, and ambulation while performing range of motion exercises and medication administration. Maintain living areas, prepare nutritious meals, and do laundry as appropriate. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered, and report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse. Adhere to documentation standards and use safety equipment properly. Maintain current HHA license and CPR certification, drive a licensed insured vehicle, and work independently with little supervision across Southern California counties.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
