Job Summary
Conduct personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting, and skin care for clients with diverse needs. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with dressing, and support ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered, and assist in medication self-administration. Maintain patient living areas and perform laundry as appropriate while ensuring safety with equipment like foot stools and side rails. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to documentation standards. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring assistance in Southern California counties, providing personalized support that promotes independence and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
