Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, skin care, and toileting activities. Assist patients with dressing, feeding, and ambulation while maintaining a clean living area. Prepare nutritious meals and assist in patient laundry. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered. Administer medications as directed and perform range of motion exercises per the care plan. Report patient condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to documentation standards. Work across LA, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, and Ventura counties. Maintain a valid HHA license, current CPR certification, and a licensed, insured vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
