Job Summary
Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting assistance, and skin care to prevent breakdown. Prepare and serve nutritious meals while assisting patients with dressing and ambulation according to the plan of care. Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure when ordered, and assist with medication self-administration. Maintain patient living areas and perform laundry as appropriate. Report significant condition changes to the assigned nurse and adhere to all documentation and safety standards. This role requires a valid HHA license, current CPR certification, and a licensed, insured driver's license. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess the ability to work with little direct supervision. Positions are available on a per diem basis across Southern California counties.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization
- Must have a valid and active HHA License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
