Job Summary
Certified Hemodialysis Technician responsible for assisting with patient care under Dialysis Nurse supervision, setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, monitoring patients every 30 minutes, handling labs and quality control, providing patient education, maintaining supplies, and ensuring safety and compliance with policies. Requires CHT/CCHT certification, CPR, English proficiency, basic computer skills, and completion of approved training and clinical skills checklist.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid CHT/CCHT national certification or state-specific certification as defined by CMS
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to differentiate primary colors
- Working knowledge of English (written and verbal)
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in NRC clinical applications within 30 days of hire
- Successful completion of training program approved by Medical Director within 30 days of hire
- Successful completion of clinical skills checklist within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
