Job Summary
Maintain and repair mobile equipment including CBI 7544 Chipper de-barkers, Peterson 5000H Chipper de-barkers, 966MXE Grapple loaders, 558 log loaders, and 325D High deckers at the Skookumchuk Whole Log Chipping facility. Ensure safety standards are met by following Canfor safe work and lockout procedures while developing strong working relationships with peers. Troubleshoot technical issues across hydraulics, electronics, and welding systems to support woodlands operations. Full-time weekday schedule Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Interprovincial certificate
- Certified Journeyman
- Experience with hydraulics, electronics and welding
- Superior troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid background in heavy industry
- Full-time weekday schedule (Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM)
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Heavy Duty Mechanic with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Desire to work in a team environment where shift work may be required
