Certified Fire Alarm Technician

Job Summary
Perform rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm, access control, and intercom systems alongside other fire protection equipment. Conduct inspections and service on both Mircom and non-Mircom products, ensuring all work adheres to ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures. Submit inspection reports timely while providing technical support and operational training to end-users. Read engineered drawings, schematics, and service manuals to execute tasks accurately. This role requires 3-5 years of industry experience, a relevant electronics diploma, and CFAA registration. Located in Ottawa, ON, the position offers a company vehicle, RRSP contributions, and education incentives.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience within the Fire Alarm industry
- Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
- Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Mircom systems
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
