Job Summary
Certified Financial Planner contractor role (US ONLY, remote) focused on training AI systems by analyzing real-world financial planning scenarios, assessing AI-generated recommendations for practicality and clarity for mainstream and mass-affluent households, and providing written feedback to improve AI explanations and decision-making guidelines. Requires several years of client-facing financial planning experience, CFP preferred (or equivalent credentials with substantial practical experience). Responsibilities include discussing budgets, debt, retirement planning, cash flow, and risk management; explaining trade-offs and question frameworks for advisory conversations; identifying compliance and risk factors; advising when to refer to CPAs, attorneys, or insurance professionals; and contributing to planning processes, checklists, and workflows with an emphasis on clear, empathetic communication.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of direct client experience as a Financial Planner/Advisor, Personal Financial Consultant, or in a similar role serving mainstream households
- Proven expertise in budgeting, cash flow management, debt reduction, retirement planning, education savings, and risk management for everyday clients
- CFP® certification is highly preferred (or passed CFP exam with relevant experience); however, ChFC or other credentials may be considered if accompanied by substantial practical experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining trade-offs in straightforward and reassuring terms
- Strong professional ethics, a solid compliance mindset, and dedication to fiduciary and client-first principles
- Practical experience with standardized planning processes and a proactive approach to solving financial challenges
- Experience integrating holistic planning with financial coaching, particularly in mass-market or workplace advisor settings
- Experience mentoring junior advisors or developing planning process materials such as checklists, playbooks, and workflows
