Job Summary
Site-focused field technician supporting pre-install site assessments and post-install inspections for residential solar projects. Responsibilities include visiting customer homes to collect measurements, photographs, and electrical/structural data; assessing roof conditions and electrical service panels; climbing ladders and inspecting attics; submitting survey data via mobile field tools; conducting post-install inspections to ensure readiness for AHJ or utility approval; verifying installations match approved plans and comply with workmanship, code, and safety standards; coordinating with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues; scheduling inspections with AHJ and customers; maintaining tools and safety equipment; representing the company in customer interactions; and occasionally working weekends or extended shifts as needed. Requires strong attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and proficiency with mobile technology, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state-recognized Electrical Certification at the Journeyman, Wireman, or higher level
- Minimum of one year of field construction experience preferred
- PV design, PV installation or PV electrical experience helpful
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
