Job Summary
Certified Hybrid Field Technician supports both the pre-installation and post-installation phases of residential solar projects. Responsibilities include visiting customer homes to collect measurements and data, assessing roof conditions and electrical service panels, climbing ladders and rooftops, performing post-installation inspections, ensuring installations meet workmanship, code, and safety standards, collaborating with install teams and project managers, preparing documentation and coordinating with AHJ and customers to schedule inspections, and maintaining safety and field equipment. The role requires traversing multiple locations with intraday schedules, occasional weekend/holiday work, and driving to job sites. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a state Electrical Certification at Journeyman level or higher.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid state-recognized Electrical Certification at Journeyman, Wireman, or higher level
- Minimum of one year of field construction experience preferred (PV design/installation or PV electrical knowledge helpful)
- Comfortable working on roofs, with ladders, and in tight or elevated spaces
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and mobile technology
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Must be 21 years of age with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
