Job Summary
Conduct industrial radiography and setup film in field or Fab Shop locations while dismantling radiographic barriers and ensuring perimeters remain clear of unauthorized personnel. Carry out radiographic inspections as directed, assist with inspection reports, and mentor designated trainees. Adhere strictly to CNSC regulations, MISTRAS Group safety policies, and the Radiation Safety Manual. Maintain a clean valid Class 5 driver's license and operate computerized equipment with strong organizational skills. Requires frequent lifting up to 75 lbs, working at heights, and tolerating extreme climates including sub-zero temperatures. Local work in Calgary, AB, with flexibility to travel for project-based assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Current CEDO certification with NRCAN
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Strong computer skills required; including the ability to operate computerized equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work with new technology
- Clean Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work at heights
- Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (sub zero temperatures) for extended periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate numerous hours spent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking
- Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces
- Must wear required protective and safety equipment (cold weather gear, safety glasses, hard hats, etc)
Desired Qualifications
- MT/PT/UT certification is an asset
- Fabrication experience preferred
