Certified Emergency Department Technician

Job Summary
Maintains emergency records, performs stocking and cleaning functions within the department, and assists in the provision of patient comfort measures. Performs certain technical duties as assigned by the licensed staff and assists with transporting of patients, specimens, and equipment. Assists in collecting patient history, preparing rooms, and handling clerical tasks such as data entry and medical records maintenance. Transports patients to and from departments, assists with routine treatment procedures, and performs technical tasks including a 12-lead ECG and venipuncture. Supports orientation of new emergency department technicians and ensures patient preparation for examinations and sterile procedures in collaboration with nurses and physicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year of experience in an emergency department
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain relationships
