Job Summary
Certified Elementary Floating Teacher will deliver high-quality synchronous and asynchronous instruction aligned to curriculum and state standards. Responsibilities include creating differentiated instruction, engaging students and families, administering assessments, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues. This position requires strong commitment to equitable practice, the ability to use data for instruction, excellent communication skills, and flexibility. The role also involves attending required events and meetings, some requiring overnight travel throughout Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction
- Must have a Clearance Certificate through the Department of Education or be able to obtain one within the first 30 days of the first day of hire.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized and punctual
- Student and family-focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Team player track record
Desired Qualifications
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)
- Experience in teaching or supporting Title I schools
- Strong interpersonal skills, which include the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
