Certified Electrician – Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)

Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution equipment at RNG facilities. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance while diagnosing electrical issues affecting gas systems. Calibrate gas analyzers, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and sensors; support startup, commissioning, and shutdown activities. Read schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings to ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E. Conduct lockout/tagout procedures and work in hazardous classified areas with methane detection. Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams for plant expansions and control upgrades. Maintain logs, drawings, and records. This role requires 25% travel to Columbus, OH and Plattsburgh, NY facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5+ years industrial electrical experience
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and 480V 3-phase systems
- Strong understanding of hazardous location electrical requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation diagrams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated platforms
- Ability to work on-call, weekends, and emergencies
- Comfortable working around noise, heat, and gas systems
- 25% travel to our RNG facilities located in Columbus, OH and Plattsburgh, NY
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with biogas, landfill gas, wastewater, or anaerobic digestion systems
