Job Summary
Journeyman Electrician for P&H Milling based in Springbrook, AB. Responsible for repair of plant electrical and mechanical equipment, including Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and PLC systems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, conduct routine inspections, calibrate equipment, and maintain GMP/BRCGS quality and safety standards. Must work a straight day shift with occasional on-call rotations; Red Seal is an asset and PLC/VFD experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician
- Red Seal Certificate is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial environment
- Working knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC), VFD’s and troubleshooting, pneumatics, mechanical, hydraulics, rotating equipment, and electric systems
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on a rotating schedule for after-hours calls and weekends
