Job Summary
Lead and oversee the installation of residential solar battery systems. Manage end-to-end installation from design review, pre-installation planning, and site walk evaluations to ensure proper material stocking and NEC-compliant electrical work. Install electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the home grid, mentor other electricians, train team members on Sunrun best practices, coordinate with branch teams, owners, AHJ inspectors, and other crew members, and address recurring quality issues to improve pass rates. Requires a valid Journeyman license, 4+ years of electrical installation/repair, willingness to travel 10-30%, and ability to perform main panel upgrades, electrical troubleshooting, and service work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years electrical installation and repair experience
- At least 1 year installing home backup products
- Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local/state requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass driving background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work on rooftops and in confined spaces
- Ability to distinguish colors and hear verbal commands
- Ability to wear PPE including arc flash suits and face shields
