Certified Dietary Manager ( CDM )

Lead and manage all dietary department operations, programs, and staff within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment. Review and update department policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually while communicating standards to staff, residents, families, and visitors. Assist with budget preparation to ensure expenses align with approved limits and oversee scheduling, assignments, and training for consistent service quality. Recruit, train, and evaluate dietary personnel, recommending changes as needed. Develop and deliver monthly in-service training sessions and attend professional development events to maintain industry standards. Collaborate with other departments to provide education on dietary services. This position requires adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
