Job Summary
Plan, direct, and control all functions and personnel within the dietary department to safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food that maintains and enhances resident health. Ensure quality food service and nutrition care align with Federal, State, and Local regulations while supervising daily operations. Prioritize a fire and passion for working with seniors, utilizing excellent written and oral communication skills to support the team. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Trained as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP), or a Dietetic Technician, registered (DTR)
- Equivalent training from military experience or traditional education
- Prior dietary supervisory experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- Certification in food safety, as required by state regulations
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, including a course of study in food service or restaurant management from an accredited institution of higher learning
