Job Summary
Prepare operatories and equipment, teach oral hygiene to clients, and sterilize instruments while performing a broad range of chairside duties. Adhere strictly to infection control standards and universal precautions, maintaining dental supplies and equipment according to clinic protocols. This part-time, permanent role supports Health n' Smiles services for under-resourced families in the Region of Peel, requiring Certified Level II training and three years of large clinic experience alongside one year in a community setting.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Level II training and in good standing with the ODAA
- At least three years experience in a large dental clinic
- One year experience in a community dental clinic
- Ability to function and work cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of dental software (Abeldent) programs and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals and groups
- Willingness to participate in WellFort's commitment to becoming an inclusive, barrier-free health centre
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Fully compliant with our Vaccination Policy unless they have received an exemption from vaccination under the Ontario Human Rights Code
- Proof of vaccination status or proof of religious or medical exemption
