Job Summary
Support patients' activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility while performing technical duties such as phlebotomy, vital signs, and EKGs under RN direction. Identify and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team and reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety. Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives, performance improvement activities, and assist in orienting new hires while completing annual hospital and unit-specific competencies. Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 in the PICU, PIMU, and PKIR units. Work part-time days totaling 24 hours a week with a 7p-7:30a schedule including weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years' experience
- High School/GED
- Patient Care Technician training
- active Patient Care Technician Certification
- AHA Basic Life Support certification
- CPCT-A certification
- Part time days
- 24 hours a week
