Job Summary
Safely operate a Grove 25-ton Carry Deck Crane while performing daily equipment inspections and adhering to load charts and lift plans. Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and field personnel using standard hand signals and radio communication to lift, move, and position materials. Assist with millwright, rigging, and material handling duties when not operating the crane. Maintain current NCCCO/CCO certification throughout the project and commit to the full duration. Complete required safety training including PIC and TAPPISAFE.
Required Qualifications
- Current NCCCO/CCO crane operator certification
- Industrial crane operating experience
- Legal US resident
- Ability to commit to the entirety of the project
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must complete PIC safety training, TAPPISAFE, and all site-specific training
- Ability to safely operate crane controls for extended periods
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend as required
- Ability to perform physical field duties when not operating the crane
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy industrial construction experience
- Pulp and paper mill experience
- Millwright or mechanical experience
