Job Summary
Select appropriate service and diagnosis codes to ensure accurate billing and reporting of services performed. Collaborate with providers to ensure proper coding and documentation, perform internal auditing of coding and documentation according to department guidelines, and assist Insurance Specialists in answering patient questions regarding coding. Maintain current knowledge regarding coding and diagnostic procedures while managing multiple responsibilities and performing diverse coding tasks. This remote position requires flexibility to work onsite at the Corporate Office in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification from AHIMA or AAPC
- Completion of an accredited coding program or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years coding experience in primary care or GYN
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and perform a variety of diverse coding tasks
- Flexibility to work onsite at our Corporate Office in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years coding experience in primary care or GYN preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office products preferred
