Job Summary
Assist the physician with office procedures, patient communication, paperwork, and scheduling. Perform functions of a clinic assistant under supervision, including planning and evaluating nursing care, preparing patients for minor surgical procedures, and taking vitals. Maintain inventory, sterilize instruments, and complete lab tests or x-rays within CMA credential scope. Requires a current CCMA certificate and BLS certification. Position remains open for a minimum of seven days before closing upon suitable candidate selection.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certificate
- Current BLS certification
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical data and professional journals
- Ability to understand and use electronic medical record software
- Ability to listen and understand patient questions and communicate complex information accurately and understandably
- Strong communication skills
