Job Summary
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT/CHT) provides dialysis treatment under RN guidance, sets up dialysis machines, greets patients, collects treatment details, prepares vascular access, initiates and monitors dialysis, records vitals, documents patient data, and ensures infection control and patient safety. Role involves patient assistance with ADLs, handling heavy equipment, exposure to blood/needles, and potential multi-clinic floating. Requires CCHT/CHT certification, a high school diploma, ability to work long hours including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays, basic computer skills, BLS, and color‐vision screening; must be able to work in a clinical outpatient dialysis setting with potential shifting locations.
Required Qualifications
- CCHT certification or CHT certification
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work long hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer knowledge
- BLS/CPR as required by American Heart Association
- Ishihara Color Blindness Test clearance
- Authorization to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
- Comfort around blood and needles including cannulation
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
