Job Summary
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT/CHT) to work under RN guidance providing dialysis treatment to multiple patients. Responsibilities include setting up dialysis machines, greeting patients, collecting treatment details, preparing vascular access, initiating/monitoring/discontinuing dialysis per policy, documenting vital signs and fluid removal, cannulation and reporting issues to the lead nurse, monitoring for adverse reactions, infection control, patient safety, and assisting with daily living activities as needed. Requires CCHT/CHT certification, ability to work long hours, flexibility to work mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays, Basic Life Support, and comfort around blood and needles. Training period typically results in 36-40 hours per week with opportunities for facility or clinic rotations; compensation ranges between $21-$29.50 per hour. Location is Lexington, NC, with potential inter-facility coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Must have valid CCHT/CHT certification
- flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic Life Support certification by American Heart Association
- comfortable around blood and needles including cannulation
- color vision (Ishihara)
- authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
