Job Summary
Certified Central Sterile Tech cleans, sterilizes, and stores gas or steam sterilized items, pulls case carts for OR cases per schedule, and maintains par levels/stocking for the OR. Responsibilities include disassembling, cleaning and disinfecting instrumentation, restocking implant trays, maintaining records for decontamination, operating sterilizers and washer-disinfectors, ensuring instrument sets are complete and intact, and assisting with orientation and training of new personnel. Requires high school diploma or GED and CBSPD/CRCST certification (or 18-months-to-completion); at least one year of related experience preferred; strong time-management, organization, and professional communication skills; on-site in York, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- CBSPD or CRCST certification required, or pass within the first 18 months of employment
- At least one year of experience in cleaning, assembling, wrapping and sterilization of surgical equipment/supplies preferred
