Job Summary
Clean, sterilize, and package instruments; maintain inventory; transport supplies and equipment. Work as a team member requiring a cooperative manner, independent decision making, and prioritization of multiple tasks under direct supervision. Daily internal contacts include patient care providers and Materials Management staff, with limited external contacts to patients, vendors, and physicians. Schedule includes 1-2 days a weekday with occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
Desired Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program; military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW
- In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred
