Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment programs designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and assist classroom teachers in executing IEPs and behavior intervention plans. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism, helping them achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals while guiding daily tasks like communication, hygiene, and self-management. Collect and document data on student performance and progress, then collaborate with the teaching team to maintain a structured learning environment. Participate in daily training sessions with behavioral analysts and engage in parent education groups to improve family outcomes. Work in a school or classroom setting from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm, with occasional before and after school hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current CBT certification
- Washington State CBT license required
- Must be able to keep students safe from themselves and others
- Must be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations
- Must be able to lift a child
- Must be able to lift (at least 50-65 pounds), assist, and/or physically support students
- Must be able to physically intervene when required to ensure safety (per CPI training)
- Must be able to remove oneself and/or others from unsafe situations quickly
- Must be able to maintain attention and focus in a dynamic, high-stimulation environment
- Must be able to multi-task and shift priorities quickly
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment and decision-making, particularly in high-pressure or safety-sensitive situations
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships
- Must be able to perform duties under stress, including during behavioral escalations
- Must be available for occasional before and after school work hours at the discretion of the Administrative staff
- Must be available for a 12-month school program
- Must be available for Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 3:30pm
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 hours of college credit in ABA, Psychology, Education, or other related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- CPR/First Aid/BLS certification preferred
