Job Summary

Assess, evaluate, and document orthopedic injuries and conditions upon patient intake. Conduct physical exams, educate patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation, and manage phone inquiries and telehealth calls. Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to create treatment plans, order injections, and handle administrative tasks including FMLA paperwork and scheduling. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and ensure all records are complete and up to date. Welcome and prepare patients for visits while supporting perioperative care and rehabilitation treatment planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
  • National Athletic Trainer Association Membership (NATA)
  • State of Colorado license
  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or life sciences
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills
  • Immersive training and education program completion (for non-residency-trained Athletic Trainers)

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • At least one year of experience in a physician office or clinical setting
