Job Summary
Diagnose, treat, and prevent musculoskeletal injuries in high school, college, and professional sports settings while overseeing a sports medicine program of three or more athletic trainers. Lead a team including strength and conditioning coaches and publish at least one peer-reviewed original research article as an author or investigator. Maintain certification through NATA or NATABOC, hold an unrestricted Texas State License, and provide basic life support via AHA or American Red Cross. This contract position at Camp Bullis, San Antonio, TX, includes Monday through Friday hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm with no evening, weekend, or holiday responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited ATEP
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University within the field of Athletic Training
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries as an AT in high school, college, professional sports setting
- 3 or more years overseeing a sports medicine or AT program of 3 or more ATs and/or strength and conditioning coaches
- Published at least 1 peer reviewed original research article as an author/investigator
- Certified by NATABOC or NATA
- BLS by AHA or American Red Cross
- Unrestricted Texas State License
- Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
- No evening, weekend or holiday responsibilities
