Job Summary
Athletic Trainer - Certified at Woodward PA, responsible for day-to-day care of injuries and emergencies on camp facilities for campers, staff, guests, and visiting athletes; maintain records, coordinate with Nursing Station and Athletic Training Room, provide comprehensive medical care, participate in staff training, and serve as liaison between parents, coaches, program staff, and athletes regarding illnesses, injury care, prevention, management, and treatment. Requires adherence to state guidelines, HIPAA standards, and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced camp environment with on-call overnight coverage rotation and site safety responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor9s Degree
- NATABOC Certification
- Active Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Licensure / Compact State (Multi-State Licensure)
- Must have 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens
- CPR Certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Comfortable presenting and deploying new technologies
- Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of management techniques
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting
