Job Summary
Provide athletic training services at a local high school, support injury prevention and rehabilitation, and serve as a Physician Extender in HMC clinics when needed. Collaborate with athletes, families, coaches, athletic directors, and physicians to ensure safe and effective care. Key duties include covering home events, outreach programs, games, practices, and tournaments; communicating injury status and return-to-play decisions; coordinating sports coverage; conducting assessments and presenting findings; educating patients; and participating in professional athletic training organizations. Requires CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) and BOC certification with Illinois AT license (or eligibility). Education path includes Bachelor's or Entry-Level Master's in Athletic Training; strong clinical knowledge and communication skills desired.
