Job Summary
Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for middle school and high school student-athletes; manage concussion protocols and return-to-play/return-to-learn procedures; communicate with parents, physicians, coaches, and school personnel regarding injuries and recovery plans; monitor medical eligibility and maintain health/participation records; oversee athletic training supplies and provide coverage for home contests; travel to select postseason competitions; assist in developing and maintaining emergency action plans for athlete safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- Current Maryland athletic trainer licensure (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, administrators, families, and healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
