Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair home appliances including refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers in customer homes. Accurately diagnose issues, complete warranty and non-warranty service calls, and document findings, parts, and labor. Provide cost estimates for repairs and installations, collect payment, and order and track parts for return visits. Keep your service vehicle clean and stocked while following safety procedures for electrical, gas, and refrigerant work. Cross-train and assist in related positions as needed. This steady, predictable flow of service work comes from our family-owned business in Tiffin and Findlay, where loyal customers have been with us for generations.
Required Qualifications
- Current appliance technician certification (NASTeC, PSA/UASA, EPA Section 608, or manufacturer factory certification)
- Proven hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing major household appliances
- You live in or can commute daily to the Tiffin or Findlay, Ohio area
- A professional, courteous presence in customers' homes
- Your own basic set of hand tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- At least 18 years of age
- Comfortable using tablet-based technology
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
