Job Summary
Provide high quality, compassionate individual, group, and family counseling for patients, families, and the community, while facilitating assigned sessions and delivering bio-psycho-social services. Prepare individual treatment plans, conduct assessments, and formulate aftercare for assigned patients. Evaluate patient needs to determine referrals to other programs and provide crisis intervention as needed. Manage case responsibilities and collaborate with clinical supervisors, medical providers, and community outreach to support treatment progress. Ensure timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record and adhere to patient confidentiality policies. Participate in weekly staff meetings to review patient progress. This full-time role offers a starting hourly rate of $25.73 with flexible scheduling, including weekend availability, and requires travel to other Wabanaki Center locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
- Basic life support (BLS)
- Willingness to travel to and perform duties at other Wabanaki Center for Healing and Recovery locations, as needed
- Possess a basic knowledge of administrative functions including interpersonal communications, office etiquette, and computer skills
- Advanced knowledge of Wellbriety or 12-step treatment model and its application in residential treatment
- Knowledge and understanding of systems of violence and trauma, including inter-generational effects of historical trauma and cultural diversity
- Availability to work weekends – Flexible schedule
- Must pass all background and credentialing checks
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Maine
- Bachelor's degree in a relatable field
- Experience working with Tribal Communities
