Job Summary
Provide quality care to assigned patients, ensuring compliance with facility expectations and licensing boards while introducing effective education and counseling. Conduct individual and group counseling to meet treatment plan goals, perform crisis interventions, screening, intake, and assessment. Produce clear documentation including admit notes, daily charting, treatment plan updates, and discharge planning. Motivate patients for change and manage appropriate referrals with ethical communication and follow-up. Maintain confidential records and interact with peers to assure comprehensive care. Requires CADC or CADCI certification, Bachelor's or Associate's degree, and Substance Abuse Board registration. Reports to the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- MUST BE A CADC or CADCI to qualify
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field or Associate's Degree in Counseling or related field
- Registration with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Board
- supervision if you are not a licensed or certified substance abuse counselor
- If in recovery, at least 2 years continuous sobriety required
- Ability to work independently as well as with the team
- ability to maintain high level of professional ethics
- Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret general clinical reports and documents
- Ability to respond to regulatory agencies
- Ability to effectively present information to supervisor
