Job Summary
Conduct treatment planning meetings and assist clients in developing recovery plans, including psychiatric advance directives and crisis plans. Provide education and resources about recovery and wellness while serving as a role model by sharing your own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques. Implement and coordinate recovery plans for individual clients, including evaluation, consultation, education, and follow-up services, while maintaining accurate records on all assigned cases. Manage client caseload and activities to maximize direct care time, provide advocacy services, and inform the treatment team of client concerns. Maintain continuing education requirements and required training documentation in record management systems. Requires active Kentucky Adult Peer Support Specialist Certification, one year of recovery, and 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active Kentucky Adult Peer Support Specialist Certification
- Active Registration with Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors
- Attest to one year recovery as defined by AODE Regulations
- Attest to one year recovery as defined by Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors
- Have a current or past diagnosis of a mental health disorders, and have received or be receiving treatment
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of applicable population group and principles/philosophy of recovery
- Position requires lifting of 20 pounds maximum
- Normal work tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissue
- May involve 24-hour on-call responsibilities
- Eighteen years of age or older
- Time Type: Full time

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred two (2) years in recovery
- Preferred over six months' experience as a Peer Support Specialist and/or leading recovery groups or programs
