Job Summary
Perform system and/or function checkouts of aircraft components (static checks, hydraulic function checks, flight control rigging, fuel system checks and oxygen), and remove/replace components per FAA requirements. Ensure meticulous inspection and testing of parts, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems safely per OSHA and company procedures. Accurately log labor data for work orders and attendance; work with basic computer systems; read aircraft diagrams and maintenance procedures; operate on maintenance stands/lifts and ladders, and lift at least 50 lbs. Requires high school diploma or GED and an A&P certificate with 2-4 years of experience; must be authorized to work in the USA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate with 2-4 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment
- Able to read and interpret approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures
- Able to lift minimum 50lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
